The Divine Blessing of Kanasagara Ratnabapa
The sacred history of Umiyadham Sidsar begins with Shree Kanasagara Ratnabapa, a humble and devoted farmer from Devda village in the Porbandar district. Ratnabapa lived a simple life, earning his livelihood through farming while dedicating himself to the service of saints, guests, and the constant remembrance of God.
Because of his humility, devotion, and noble character, people lovingly addressed him as “Bhagat.”
One day, a saint visited Ratnabapa’s home. Deeply moved by his sincere hospitality and unwavering faith, the saint blessed him, saying:
Serve Maa Umiya with unwavering faith and devotion. Your life shall be blessed, and your name shall become immortal.
Inspired by these divine words, Ratnabapa devoted his life entirely to the worship of Maa Umiya.
